- Noise is actually echoing from the back. Noise is the rear differential whining.
- USE CUSTOMER SUPPLIED OIL AND FILTER. HE ALSO HAS PROVIDED A DRAIN PLUG IF NEEDED
- VEHICLE INTERIOR Reset the service interval indicator Check operation of all lights, warning indicators and horn Check operation of front/rear wiper washer systems. Check blades. Check parking brake system. Replace the pollen filter Check condition and security of seats and seat belts VEHICLE EXTERIOR Anticorrosion check Check door locks, hood latch and fuel flap. Lube door checks. ENGINE COMPARTMENT Check battery condition, top- up electrolyte if required. Inspect serpentine drive belts. Check and top-up brake, PAS and windshield washer fluid Change brake fluid (3 years) Check coolant level and freeze protection level Change engine coolant (10 years) Replace air cleaner UNDER VEHICLE Change engine oil and replace filter Inspect for brake pad wear, caliper leaks and disc condition Check tire pressures, condition and tread depth Inspect for under vehicle fluid leaks Lubricate wheel centers Check exhaust system for leaks and damage Inspect flexible brake hoses Change automatic transmisison fluid and filter (10 years) Change front and rear axle oil (10 years) Inspect condition and operation of suspension and steering components, boots, ball joints and drive shafts. Inspect steering ball joints for wear, damaged dust covers Inspect brake, fuel lines, PAS hoses and unions Inspect electrical harnesses for correct routing and damage REMEDIAL WORK If fault lamps are illuminated, use IDS to find the faults and report ROAD TEST Road test vehicle Record performance of service in Passport To Service
- Front brakes: 10MIL Rear brakes: 8MIL Tire tread: 8-7/32 Charging system: Battery and alternator testing well Belts/hoses: In good condition Filters/fluids: Replaced filters. Serviced 4×4 fluids and haldex fluid. Rear diff fluid is VERY thick, dark, and smells burnt. metal particulate present. Rear differential is failing. New fluid will help for awhile, but eventually will accumulate metal again. Wipers/lights: In good condition Suspension components: In good condition Other: SRS fault present due to failing occupancy classification system module. Installed key cover kit. Check for leaks: NA Test drive Attach fault codes
