- Diagnosed and found there are several faults. Missfire on cylinder 8. Found # 8 ignition wire is grounding against the secondary air pipe. Will need to replace the ignition wire to fix. P1666-1667 Anti-theft. Diagnosed. The fault is due to a failed crank position sensor. Will need to replace the crank position sensor to fix. Vehicle has incorrect spark plugs and wires causing misfires. Replaced wires, plugs and crank position sensor and plenum gasket. Cleared faults and test drove vehicle.
- The car has a failed crank position sensor. The clanking rubbing sound is the transmission pipe rubbing on the harmonic balancer. Adjusted the pipe to clear the balancer.
- The shuttle valve switch has failed. Will need to replace the shuttle valve modulator.
